Being a sustainable community Liberty Village was intentionally designed to conserve as many of the existing trees and wetlands as possible. The plan includes 38 homes around a Village Green, with a continuous pathway providing emergency and delivery vehicular access to every home. Parking for vehicles is clustered at the outside, while homes are clustered centrally between the parking area uphill and the wetlands downhill. Additional features such as community gardens or gathering places are constructed as community desires, funding and agreement are given common consent.
Libertytown is a quite hospitable larger community with a local bank, volunteer fire company, civic association, several churches, and a few convenience stores and auto repair facilities. More variety of shopping is generally available within seven to ten miles in most directions. Local schools are within one to eight miles. Several colleges are available within twelve to forty miles.
